Influencers are paid by brands to give positive testimonials about their products to the people who follow them. So far, there has been no real platform available to make a broker-free environment that lets brands to connect to influencers directly, until now.

Tokyo, Japan - September 3, 2018 —
/ BLOQWIRE / Influencer marketing has been trending for over the past decade. This is where influential people on social media, known as “influencers,” are paid by brands and other advertisers to give positive testimonials about their products or services to all the people who follow or subscribe to them. So far, there has been no real platform available to handle transactions between social media influencers and their clients… until now.
Atsushi Hisatsumi, an influencer turned entrepreneur
Atsushi Hisatsumi is a Japanese influencer who earned his reputation as a successful dancer and DJ. Like many influencers, Hisatsumi felt that the current marketing solutions available to him were not good enough to suit his needs. This set him on a path to develop a unique influencer marketing platform which would be based on blockchain technology. The Patron team aims to replace the existing business model with a system that works better for both brands and social media influencers alike. Adopting blockchain technology for the development adds transparency and security to the platform.
After collaborating with various other influencers in the industry, Hisatsumi created a sharing economy platform through his startup company, Patron. The functionality of this platform works kind of like Airbnb. An advertiser can purchase an influencer’s services anywhere from a few weeks to up to 12 months.
Why do Influencers need Patron?
“Right now, there are outside agencies which regulate influencer marketing transactions and charge up to 40% in commission for their services,” Atsushi explains the reason for a platform like Patron. “Patron eliminates all the middlemen so that influencers get paid in full without any fees taken out.”
In the first quarter of 2018, an ICO was established to raise funds for this project’s development. After the ICO successfully exceeded its goal amount of $40 million, Patron received the necessary capital to finish building its platform.
“A pre-release of the platform is now scheduled to launch in November of 2018,” head of the Patron's Japan team Kosuke Takada said.” “If things go well, we’re expecting the full platform to go live during the first quarter of 2019.”

Hisatsumi is not new to the world of entrepreneurship. In addition to being a performer, he is the founder of a notable Japanese company called Extravaganza International Inc. This is a software development company which focuses mainly on influencer marketing and cryptocurrency related projects. Patron is an Extravaganza subsidiary which has brought in talent all the way from Silicon Valley to assist in the completion of its new platform design.
Patron has already been endorsed by numerous influencers from around the world. Hollywood actress Sanaa Lathan even gave her full support to the Patron project and is looking forward to its release. A downloadable Patron app will be available soon.
